Cardiom is a Mobile ECG Holter device that is used for cardiac rhythm monitoring for short and long terms.
Cardiom can operate up to 72 hours with a single charge and ECG recording up to 42 days. It’s suitable for short and long term rhythm monitoring, in this aspect. It also differs from other holters with its extended mobility and GSM communication capabilities. You can check the technical details from “Specs” page. Also, please send us a message from “Contact Us” page for financial and service-related benefits of the system.
All the rights of Cardiom belong to Livewell A.S. Please send a message from “Contact Us” page for short/long term renting, pay per use and purchasing options.
Cardiom is used with Livewell Health Intelligent Platform. You should provide a username and password through a user agreement, to access this web-based software.
When the system is off, press the on/off button and sound on/off button simultaneously for three seconds. SDCard records will be deleted and system will be reset.
Yes. You should be sure that Cardiom is switched off by pressing the on/off button, before changing the battery. This way, the recorded file will be saved securely, and a new recording will begin when the system is turned on.
Yes. Switch off Cardiom and detach the cable leads from the electrodes. Keep the Cardiom and the cables in a safe and dry place. Detach the electrodes after taking note of their places. Attach the electrodes on dry skin after you shower on the same places. Don’t use the electrodes twice. Be sure to attach the cable leads on correct places and secure them tightly, using the snaps on the leads. Switch on Cardiom. It will start recording again.
When you feel different symptoms on your body (palpitation, dizziness, etc) your holter technician or cardiologist would recommend to press the alarm button. A 10 second ECG record with whole derivations (7 seconds before and 3 seconds after the pressing time) will be send to Livewell Health Intelligence Platform through GSM data line. These records can be reviewed on web based or mobile application by your doctor, who has access to your records.
There is a picture that shows the correct electrode placement on both the Quick User Manual inside the system box and “How to Use” section of the internet site. You can refer to either of them.
It is possible that the battery is about to run out. Switch off the system, change the battery and switch on again. If the alarm is not stopped, switch it off and apply to the place where you are getting the holter service. If it is stopped, recharge the swapped battery with the charging unit. You can switch the system sounds off and on by pressing the sound button.
If the cables are placed correctly, Cardiom begins recording as soon as it is switched on. If only the “ON” LED is illuminated, press the on/off button shortly. The system LEDs will be active for a short period of time. If the LED that is on the left side of the ON LED is illuminated, the system is recording your ECG.
When Cardiom is off, press the ON/OFF button shortly, and you will see the battery level indication on the left LED array on the system. When the Cardiom is on, press the ON/OFF button shortly. The left LED array will indicate the battery for a short period of time and return to their regular indications.
We don’t recommend charging the batteries without using the medical grade battery charger that is delivered with the system. But in case of emergencies, you can use the portable battery chargers with a compatible micro USB tip (or use the supplied battery cable), that is used to charge cell phones, tablet computers and similar electronic equipment. You can also charge the system from the USB of a regular PC or notebook, by using the cable supplied with the system. If you charge directly from the electric plug or a PC connected to the electric plug, the system should be off, for recording quality and user security.
You can walk through a Metal Detector Gate
You can pass the system through an X-Ray device
If a cable is detached, attach it tightly using the snap. If a cable is broken off, inform the place where you are getting the holter service.
Press the ON/OFF button shortly. If none of the LEDs on the left are illuminated, the battery could be drained. Change the battery and recheck the battery level. If at least one LED is on, try to switch on the system by pressing the ON/OFF button long. Recharge the other battery and swap the batteries as soon as the charging battery is full. If you don’t see any illuminated LED, charge one of the batteries for some time, and try to switch on the system with this battery. If it is not switched on, apply to the place where you are receiving the holter service.
It is completely normal for the system to be warm during usage. If you think that the system is getting warm rapidly or over heated, switch it off immediately, replace the battery with the other one, and do not use the heating battery. Inform the place where you are receiving the service.
Attach the electrodes first, on the correct places of the body and attach the correct cables on the electrodes with the snaps and secure them tightly.
The second method is to attach the cable tips on the electrodes before detaching the self-adhesive part. This way you can be sure that the snaps are holding the electrodes tightly. Then detach the self-adhesive covers and place the electrodes on the correct places of the body.
No. The electrodes are for single use only.
The place where you are receiving the holter service should provide you with enough numbers of electrodes. If there is not enough electrode to complete the recommended number of days of usage, apply to the place where you are receiving the service.
